Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Praneya application or any related service (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Praneya (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time (see Section 12).

2. Service Description

Praneya is a cardiac wellness application that provides:

• Risk scoring: Computation of validated cardiovascular wellness indicators (e.g., Framingham, ASCVD) based on user-provided lab results and biometrics.
• Biomarker tracking: Long-term trending of 40+ blood panel markers and biometric values you upload or sync from wearable devices.
• Personalized wellness tips: Praneya-generated lifestyle suggestions based on your tracked data, wellness diary entries, and wearable metrics.
• Praneya wellness chat: A conversational interface powered by Anthropic Claude that answers general wellness questions in the context of your health data.
• Wearable integration: Optional connection to health platforms (Apple Health, Google Fit, and others) to import activity, sleep, and cardiac metrics.
• Doctor sharing: On-demand generation of structured health summaries you can share with your healthcare provider via a time-limited, revocable token.

3. Not Medical Advice — Important Disclaimer

PRANEYA IS A WELLNESS APPLICATION, NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE, CLINICAL DECISION SUPPORT TOOL, OR SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL CARE. NOTHING PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.

The Service is designed to help you track and understand general wellness trends. It is expressly not designed or intended to:

• Diagnose any medical condition, disease, or disorder.
• Recommend, prescribe, or suggest specific medications or dosages.
• Replace consultation with a licensed physician, cardiologist, or other healthcare professional.
• Be used in emergency situations — call your local emergency services immediately if you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency.

All Praneya-generated content, risk scores, and wellness insights are informational only. You must independently verify any health information with a qualified healthcare provider before making medical decisions. Praneya is not liable for any health outcomes resulting from reliance on information provided by the Service.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

The Service is not available to users who have previously been suspended or removed from the Service for violation of these Terms.

5. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Keep your password secure and not share it with third parties.
• Notify us immediately at legal@praneya.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities conducted through your account, whether authorized by you or not, except where caused by our breach of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Automate or scrape: Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or automated scripts to access, extract, or index any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
• Abuse Praneya features: Send requests to the wellness chat or document parsing features at volumes that exceed reasonable personal use, or attempt to extract model weights, system prompts, or proprietary logic.
• Unauthorized access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other user accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Upload malicious content: Upload files containing malware, exploits, or content designed to damage or disrupt the Service.
• Violate laws: Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of applicable local, national, or international law.
• Misrepresent identity: Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or organization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions without prior notice.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Praneya offers free and paid subscription tiers. The billing method depends on where you subscribe:

• Web subscriptions: Processed by Stripe. You can manage your subscription, update payment methods, and cancel through your account billing page at praneya.com/billing.
• Mobile subscriptions: Processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat as our subscription management platform. You can manage your subscription through your device’s subscription settings.
• Cross-platform access: Your subscription status syncs across web and mobile. A subscription purchased on one platform grants access on all platforms.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through the platform where you subscribed (Stripe billing page for web, device settings for mobile). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then.
• Refunds: For mobile subscriptions, refund eligibility is governed by the applicable store refund policy (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). For web subscriptions, contact support within 7 days of purchase.
• Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance.
• Free trial: Where offered, a free trial converts automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.

8. Data Accuracy & Your Responsibility

Praneya uses automated technology to extract structured data from uploaded lab reports and documents. Automated extraction is not infallible and may produce errors, misreadings, or omissions.

You are responsible for reviewing all extracted values for accuracy before relying on them. We strongly recommend cross-referencing extracted biomarker values against your original lab reports. Praneya is not liable for decisions made based on inaccurately extracted or user-entered data.

You represent that any data you upload or enter into the Service relates to yourself or to individuals for whom you have explicit authorization to act. Do not upload health data of third parties without their informed consent.

9. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties

Disclaimer of Warranties. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF HEALTH INFORMATION.

No Health Outcome Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PRANEYA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY HEALTH OUTCOMES, MEDICAL DECISIONS, OR CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY PRANEYA-GENERATED CONTENT, RISK SCORES, OR WELLNESS SUGGESTIONS.

Liability Cap. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PRANEYA’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO PRANEYA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

Exclusion of Consequential Damages. IN NO EVENT SHALL PRANEYA BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deletion initiates permanent data removal in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, your use poses a security risk, or we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of termination by email except where prohibited by law or where notice would create a security risk.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 3, 8, 9, and 11 of these Terms survive termination.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Praneya is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, as applicable.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the effective date.
